Jeremy Hummel-Drums/Percussion
Jeremy began playing at the age of three and got his first drum kit on his fifth birthday. Jeremy was surrounded by music practically since birth as his father, Vaughn, is a guitarist. "I used to love going to my dad's band rehearsal. I thought it was the coolest thing and realized at a very early age that music was what I wanted to do with my life."
Today, Jeremy Hummel is a professional drummer and instructor. He is also a clinician, studio musician and columnist for Modern Drummer Magazine. Jeremy's most popular recorded works came with platinum-selling artists Breaking Benjamin. He was a co-founding member of the group and played on the band's first two records, "Saturate" and "We Are Not Alone." During his tenure the band scored two #1 hits in the Active Rock Format with "So Cold"and "Sooner or Later." Jeremy is a popular instructor and clinician due to his musical concepts in a practical world. His lessons are often fun and sometimes unorthodox.

Lucy Sassi-Lead Vocals/Percussion
Lead vocalist for Into the Spin, Lucy Sassi has been performing for the Northeast Pennsylvania area for over 20 years working with a variety of professional, talented musicians. Her dynamic vocals produce a high energy level of entertainment as she works together with the band to create an impressive sound and performance.  She is a natural.  Music, singing and performing have always been Lucy’s passion.  She has performed with bands for various types of venues, from nightclubs, resorts and casinos, to wedding ceremonies/receptions and corporate events. She is often invited as a featured guest vocalist for many other bands and invited to sing the National Anthem for many local sporting events such as the Scranton/Wilkes Barre RailRiders Minor League Baseball Game.  Lucy is also a session vocalist hired by musician’s for recordings as well as commercial  advertisements.  "I feel blessed to be able to perform with such dynamic talented professional musicians in this band INTO THE SPIN.  It's an awesome opportunity!  We are like family!  We work hard but we have fun!  Our goal is to put a smile on people's faces and allow them to forget about the stresses of the day as they listen to great LIVE music. It's all for the love of music, to have fun and enjoy life!" 


Mike Harvey-Guitar
Mike’s love of music began at an early age, grooving to his father’s honky-tonk piano stylings, and spending many an evening drifting off to sleep to the sounds of his older brother’s rock bands rehearsing in the basement. After a brief foray into the world of drumming, Mike took up the guitar at the age of twelve.
Since coming to the Central Pennsylvania area in 1984 to attend Bucknell University, Mike has been a fixture on the local music scene. His most recent projects include the dance/rock band Tiger Tattoo, the blues/rock trio Reverend BlueJeans, and as of 2012, Into The Spin. As an avid student of all styles of music and a connoisseur of classic guitar tone, Mike strives to bring passion, fire and class to every performance.

Andy Seal-Bass/Vocals
For the last ten years, bassist Andy Seal has been a constant figure in the region of Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna Valley. As a member of the piano-jazz trio Burgess, Mitchell & Seal, he has maintained numerous steady, weekly gigs including a continuing ten-year run as the host band the Jazz Workshop at the Bullfrog Brewery, Williamsport, PA. Among his other musical experiences are two european tours including a 2006 tour with blues pianist Ann Rabson. Andy has also performed with grammy-winning cellist David Darling at the Hudson River Valley Music Festival and the JVC Jazz Festival both in New York City. He has also toured regularly and recorded with acclaimed singer-songwriter EG Kight and recently produced and contributed writing to Pennsylvania singer Ann Kerstetter’s CD, Duke St. Diary. Having earned a B.A. in both Music Education and A/V Production, Andy has served as musical director, assistant, and workshop clinician in local middle and high school programs and has also contributed music and technical assistance to several PBS documentaries and independent films.

Kevin Haile - Keyboards/Vocals
Kevin's musical experiences began at a very young age with the piano and later expanded to percussion and guitar. He recently graduated from Indiana University of PA and earned a B.S. in Music Education. He has performed as a soloist and as a member of many groups in venues across the country including Gov. Edward G. Rendel’s inauguration in 2006, the Collegiate Band Directors National Association Convention in Washington, D.C. in 2007, and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Columbus, OH in 2008. Kevin is currently the band director at Central Columbia High School and teaches privately. 

Doug Riley - Saxophones
Doug Riley is a professional saxophonist and pianist. He has also been a jazz clinician, guest conductor and adjudicator. Early in his career, he played with Camden Record's Nu-Tones, followed by a decade with the Crosstown Bus. He's also played with numerous big bands, including the Arlen Saylor and Buzz Jones Big Bands.

Brian Leslie-Trumpet
Brian lives in Elysburg, PA with his wife, Dyan, children, Tommy and Amelia, and dog, Bowser. He plays trumpet semi-professionally and performs with Into The Spin, The Dave Stahl Big Band and Sacred Orchestra, The Zeropoint Big Band, The Williamsport City Jazz Orchestra and also free lances throughout PA. He received a BS in Actuarial Sciences and a BA in Music from Mansfield University, spent two years in the Jazz Studies program at The University of North Texas, and then received his teaching certification through Susquehanna University. He has studied trumpet with Sam Rovito while attending Mount Carmel Area Jr./Sr. High School, Dr. Michael Galloway while attending Mansfield University, Jay Saunders while attending The University of North Texas, and has also taken lessons with Dave Stahl, Eddie Severn, Joe Mosello, and Vaughn Nark.  Brian is currently a mathematics teacher at Danville Middle School and also teaches private trumpet lessons from his home. He plays a Yamaha YTR-8335LA trumpet with a custom Warburton mouthpiece, which is modeled after the Dave Stahl model, and a Yamaha YFH-731 flugelhorn with a Probrass 10ES mouthpiece.


Brett Rynhart - Trombone, Percussion, Vocals
Brett Rynhart lives in Berwick with his wife, Amy, and their three pets. He owns and operates Rynhart Music Enterprises LLC out of his home and van. Rynhart Music services several school districts in Northeast/Central PA for instrument repairs, instrument sales and rentals, music orders, and accessory orders. Brett has been playing trombone and singing since the fifth grade at Central Columbia School District. He is an alumnus of Pennsylvania’s Governor’s School for the Arts, class of 2003. After high school, he attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he was an active member of the music fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and served as director of the all-male a cappella group, Static Harmony.  Since attaining his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, he taught music for three years at Central Columbia Middle School before opening up his business. Brett is an active musician in the area, and has performed with several different orchestras, bands, and choirs, including Spencer and the T-Bones, Seasoned Sounds, and the Susquehanna Valley Chorale.
